At Gatesville, the Lady Hornets bounced back from a season-opening loss to claim their first win behind a team-high nine points from Meghan Haferkamp.

Gatesville only shot 33 percent from the floor, but it was enough to avoid an 0-2 start to the season.

Kayla McGiboney complemented Haferkamp’s performance by making 4 of 7 shots en route to scoring eight points to go along with nine rebounds and two steals.

The Lady Hornets return to the court Friday for the opening day of play at the Hamilton tournament.
