Belton drops two at Leander tournament

The Tigers lost two games at the Leander Christmas Holiday tournament on Friday. Vista Ridge hit 13 3-pointers in its 63-46 win over Belton in the opener and 4A No. 18 Georgetown out-scored the Tigers 34-15 in the first half en route to a 66-38 win later in the day.

Thomas Barnes led the Tigers (7-10) with 11 points in the loss to Georgetown and Andrew Ewing and Juwan Haggins each scored seven in the loss to Vista Ridge.

Belton plays Round Rock Stony Point today at 9 a.m.
