BELTON — Sidney Holman pitched her second no-hitter in a seven-day span and was backed by a big offensive output led by Bekah Alcozer as Belton dominated Ellison 12-1 in five innings in a District 8-5A game at Lady Tiger Field.

Holman’s first no-hitter was a 10-0 victory over Lampasas in the Belton Tournament last Saturday. She pitched a one-hitter in a 14-0 win at Harker Heights on Tuesday.

Holman (7-5) had good movement on her curveball to record seven strikeouts in five innings. She also settled down after walking the first two batters of the game.

Ellison (1-18, 0-2 8-5A) scored its run in the second inning when Alexis Watson reached base on a throwing error, then circled the bases on another errant throw on which Belton (9-9, 2-0) tried to get her out at third.
