- Major Players
Johnny Jefferson, Sr. running back — the Baylor committ did it all for the Grey Wolves last season, combining for 1,360 yards and 17 touchdowns, including four rushing touchdowns and one receiving touchdown in Shoemaker’s losing streak-snapping win over Ellison.
Zaire Banner, Jr. quarterback — threw for just 698 yards with six interceptions and a single touchdown last season in a disappointing sophomore debut, but showed renewed confidence running the Grey Wolves’ offense in the spring and throwing for 56 yards and a touchdown with no interceptions in the spring game.
Malik Clemons, Jr. linebacker — the District 12-5A defensive newcomer of the year totalled 99 tackles as a sophomore and with linebacker teammate Jonathan Massey leads an already solid core of Grey Wolves defenders inside the box.

Everybody will be ready to go or they’ll be replaced.” -- Channon Hall, Shoemaker football coach
