With spring football beginning on May 1, the Dawg coaching staff completed the third and final phase of testing conducted each year during off season workouts.

In 40-yard dash timing, freshman D.J. Peapea is now the fastest Bulldawg going, after being timed at 4.38 in the skilled position group. No Bulldawg, past or present, has ever moved that fast. Dawg lineman Dylan Paine led the trenchmen with a 4.76.

Another highly-prized category is the vertical leap. Derris Prater led the skill position crew by jumping straight up 32.5 inches, while Jireh Craig was the top lineman leaper at 26 inches.

In the power clean, Gabriel Perez led the skilled position players with 295 pounds and Phil Aumua hit 300 pounds to pace the linemen, which ties him for second place on the all-time list. Aumua also topped the linemen with a 315-pound bench press, while Jaylen Waters did 295 pounds for the skilled position players.

Aumua (there he is again) was No. 1 in the squat, going 500 pounds and skilled position player Jaylen Waters hoisted 435 pounds to lead the way among his peers.
