At Brownwood, despite a big night from sophomore setter Nola Bishop, Lampasas was unable to earn its first district victory.

The Lady Badgers jumped out to a 1-0 lead after narrowly taking the first set, but the Lady Lions rebounded to control the rest of the match.

Bishop finished with four aces and had 17 digs, while teammate Ashlyn Theus posted a team-high nine kills and Madi Phillips added a pair of blocks.

The loss dropped the Lady Badgers record to 10-18 overall and 0-4 in District 8-3A heading into Friday’s home match against Gatesville.
