SALADO — It may have taken more than three hours to complete, but Traion Smith and Aaron Sims made their statements in the first half-hour. And they never really stopped making noise.
The Cameron Yoe duo combined for 409 yards of offense and six touchdowns as the No. 1-ranked Yoemen pulled away to a 57-28 victory Friday night over Salado at Eagle Stadium in both teams’ District 13-2AI opener. What began as a shootout turned into a Yoeman rout as Cameron managed to shutout the explosive Eagles in the second half to secure the win to go 4-0 and keep Salado winless at 0-4.
