At Temple, with his Wildcats trailing 49-48 with 34.7 seconds to play, Temple sophomore Chad President dribbled from the free throw line, turned and made a strong post move toward the basket.

Only this time, Copperas Cove’s Rashaun Gibson held his ground, timed President perfectly and blocked the shot attempt as the Bulldawgs held on for a win over Temple to pull within a game of fourth place in District 8-5A.

Cory Scott scored a game-high 16 points for the Bulldawgs (17-11, 5-6 8-5A), while President led Temple with 14.
