The Copperas Cove Bulldawgs clinched the Central Texas District championship by defeating Harker Heights on Tuesday, 11-6. The match was held at Hallmark Lanes.

Cove was led by James Norris and Robert Bigford who averaged 249 and 206 respectively.

“James was really hitting the pocket,” Bigford said. “He was pretty close to perfect. In one game, he had nine straight strikes. Overall, it feels very good to win the district title and I thought the key to the win was that we bowled as a team.”

Cove upped its record to 9-0. Heights fell to 6-3. Both teams will advance into the postseason.
