At Lampasas, the Lady Badgers received big outings from Kara Gillis and Ashlyn Theus, but it was not enough to emerge from a five-set battle against Dublin.

Gillis, a junior outside hitter, finished with team-highs in kills (14) and digs (25) to go along with a pair of aces and blocks, while teammate Theus had nine kills and three blocks in defeat.

Lampasas sophomore setter Nola Bishop posted 24 digs, 14 assists and two aces, while junior middle blocker Cassie Stultz added seven kills, three digs and two blocks.

The Lady Badgers (10-12) travel to Fischer Canyon Lake on Friday before opening District 8-3A play at home against No. 11 Liberty Hill one week later.
