Sedderian Chambers, a junior running back for Ellison, was released from the hospital Tuesday after suffering a bruised knee and a gash on his head from being hit by a car late Saturday night.
Chambers was reported missing this past weekend before his mother, Ormesia McSwain, found her son herself by calling Scott & White Hospital in Temple.
McSwain said the hospital didn’t call her or knock on her door, telling her they were unable to reach her because her phone number changed and that they weren’t sure which of the two addresses for her on file was correct.
Doctors told McSwain the car that hit Chambers was moving at about 40 mph when it hit him, but Chambers suffered no broken bones in the accident.
No information on the location of the accident was available at press time.
