From staff reports

Stefan Flores was 2-for-3 at the plate and had a pair of RBIs as the Knights picked up a win over the Shoemaker Grey Wolves on Tuesday at Shoemaker High.

Tyler Keller had a home run and Zach Moseley picked up the win on the mound for Harker Heights (12-6-1, 5-3 12-5A). Moseley pitched a complete game, striking out five and giving up only three hits and two walks.

A&M Consolidated 2, Harker Heights 1 - At College Station, Flores had two hits and scored the lone run but took another hard-luck loss on the mound as the Knights' upset bid fell flat Saturday.

Taking a 1-0 lead in the top of the first after an RBI single by Hunter Mayo plated Flores, Heights struggled to find any openings against the District 12-5A leading Tigers, including a line-drive groundout to third to strand the bases loaded in the fifth inning.

Harker Heights 4, Copperas Cove 1 - Flores went 3-for-3 and Mayo struck out seven and allowed three hits to put the Knights among the top half of teams in District 12-5 on Friday.

Harker Heights took a 1-0 lead into the second inning and pulled away with a three-run fourth inning.
