Stefan Flores was 2-for-3 at the plate and had a pair of RBIs as the Knights picked up a win over the Shoemaker Grey Wolves on Tuesday at Shoemaker High.

Tyler Keller had a home run and Zach Moseley picked up the win on the mound for Harker Heights (12-6-1, 5-3 12-5A). Moseley pitched a complete game, striking out five and giving up only three hits and two walks.

A&M Consolidated 2, Harker Heights 1 - At College Station, Flores had two hits and scored the lone run but took another hard-luck loss on the mound as the Knights' upset bid fell flat Saturday.

Taking a 1-0 lead in the top of the first after an RBI single by Hunter Mayo plated Flores, Heights struggled to find any openings against the District 12-5A leading Tigers, including a line-drive groundout to third to strand the bases loaded in the fifth inning.

Harker Heights 4, Copperas Cove 1 - Flores went 3-for-3 and Mayo struck out seven and allowed three hits to put the Knights among the top half of teams in District 12-5 on Friday.

Harker Heights took a 1-0 lead into the second inning and pulled away with a three-run fourth inning.


A&M Consolidated 13, Harker Heights 3, 5 inn. - At College Station, Taylor Oberg was 3-for-3 with three RBIs to lead the Lady Tigers to a run-rule victory over the Lady Knights.

Consolidated (8-17, 7-2 12-5A) did the bulk of its damage in an 11-run third inning.

The Lady Knights (5-12, 2-7) scored all their runs in the top of the fifth, with two coming on a double by Regan McIlvenna. Courtney Luedecking had two of Heights' three hits.

Harker Heights 9, Shoemaker 6 - Regan McIlvenna was 3-for-4 at the plate and drove in two runs as the Lady Knights defeated the Lady Grey Wolves. Deanna Turck added a two-run homer for Harker Heights.
