Elianah Eady-Smith led three Live Oak Ridge seventh-grade A-team Lady Lobos in double figures with 16 points Wednesday in a season-opening 48-4 win at Smith.
Alexia Hollings-Westmoreland added 14 points, and Jalon Jones had 10. Kafaniah Douglas finished with six. Deyonah Owens had two. Alexis Burgess was a defensive standout.
LIBERTY HILL 7A DEF. UNION GROVE 7A: Keyonna Otis and Saniyah Johnson each scored four points to lead the defeated Grizzlies.
Other scorers for Union Grove were Nakayla Burks (three points) and Kaley Lelauti and Mariah Cisnero (two each).
PATTERSON 7A 31, PALO ALTO 7A 2: DeYanna Reed had eight points and six steals to lead the Lady Cavaliers to a season-opening victory.
Patterson made 15 steals in the first half and raced to a 21-2 lead.

Myeisha Holman scored in the first quarter for Palo Alto. She was also a defensive standout along with Stephanie Gabriel, Lakyia Wilson and Aniyah Harrison.

Other scorers for Patterson were Jasmine Martin (four points), Tierra Prust, Heaven Chappell, Kali Clay and Amiya Trotter (two each) and Haliegh Pointer (one).
Yanielys Romero made two free throws in the second quarter for Palo Alto and was a defensive standout along with Shalimark Braddy, Anastayzia DeAcros-Salinas and Kamea Mincey.

PATTERSON 8A 49, PALO ALTO 8A 24: Evelyn Lorenzo tallied 11 points, three rebounds, three assists and three steals in a season-opening win for the Lady Cavaliers.
Kaisy Cochran and Ichani Norman also scored 11 points each while collecting two assists and two steals.

The Patriots did manage to shut out Patterson in the fourth quarter.

LIBERTY HILL 8A 53, UNION GROVE 8A 19: Uriyah Evans scored 13 points and the Lions erupted for 22 points in the third quarter on the way to a win in their season opener.

Latavis Williams led Palo Alto with eight points. The Patriots led 12-11 at halftime.

Clements basketball registration continues
Registration for Clements Boys & Girls Club basketball continues through Dec. 15.
The league is open to all second- through sixth-graders. Registration times are Monday through Friday from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Clements Boys & Girls Club at 5100 Trimmier Road.
Registration requires a 2018 club membership ($20), a $55 participation fee, proof of residency and proof of age. Players must attend a Killeen ISD school or live within KISD attendance boundaries.
Eligible players for the 2nd Grade league have not turned age 9 before Sept. 1. Players for the 3/4 Grade league have not turned age 11 before Sept. 1, and players for the 5/6 Grade league have not turned 13 before Sept. 1.
