Amani Bradshaw scored 17 points to lead the Patterson Middle School seventh-grade girls to a 42-23 win over Eastern Hills on Nov. 16 in the championship game of the Killeen ISD preseason tournament at Ellison High School.
Other scorers for the Cavaliers were Meleanna Williams (eight points), Cierra Penn (six), Khya Andrews (three) and Alexus Whiteside, Jasmine Carson, Alanna Howard and Isis Askew (two each).
Williams scored 10 points to lead the way in a 37-1 win over Smith in the semifinals.
Other scorers were Bradshaw (nine), Penn and Carson (six each) and Wanjiru Randolph, Darion Levy and Askew (two each).
Patterson also won the eighth-grade tournament behind Sydney Brock’s 10 points in a 39-27 win over Liberty Hill in the title game.
Other scorers for the Cavaliers were Devany Wall and Cici McClain (eight points), Kaleiyah Davis (six), Rashari Brent (four), Daija Planas (three) and Breonna Fleming (two).
McClain scored 18 in a 48-10 semifinal victory against Audie Murphy.

PATTERSON 8A 54, RANCIER 8A 15:Sydney Brock scored 26 points as the Cavaliers followed their tournament title with another victory.

LAKE BELTON 8A 35, S.C. LEE 8A 8:At S.C. Lee, Tamyja Garrett led the way for the defeated Lady Cougars.
PALO ALTO 8B 24, NOLAN 8B 14:Remani Slater led the defeated Lady Mustangs with eight points.
Ivana Kombet-Odang, Alayna Nunn, and Katrina McMillin each added two points for Nolan, which had just six players available.
Kombet-Odang had six steals and Slater’s finished with five. Top rebounders were Ahleeyah Brown (three) and Jalaia Bullock (two).
UNION GROVE 8B def. SMITH 8B:At Union Grove, Mercedes Morales scored in sudden-death overtime to give the Grizzlies a victory.
Madison Tash and Kayla Hansen also scored for the Grizzlies.
LAKE BELTON 8B 35, S.C. LEE 6:At S.C. Lee, Sarah Stephens was the top player for the defeated Lady Cougars.
PATTERSON 7A 40, RANCIER 7A 2:Cierra Penn led a balanced scoring effort with nine points to lead the Cavaliers to a win.

NOLAN 7B 22, PALO ALTO 7B 18:Sierna Rogers and Jaquiesha Montgomery each scored eight points to help the Lady Mustangs get a victory.

RANCIER 8B 29, PATTERSON 8B 26:Shemarquez Johnson had nine points, eight rebounds, two steals and two blocks to lead the Roos to a victory.

PALO ALTO 7B 34, NOLAN 7B 12:Scotty Eddings scored 13 points and the Patriots pulled away for a victory in the first game of the KISD B-team tournament.
Jaquietin Taylor and C’Montre Houston each scored six points for Palo Alto. Shauntae Payne scored four, while Carlos Fergurson and Nehemiah Brown each added two. Carlon Rivera hit a free throw.
Edgerrin Melton, Keith Johnson-Varner, Cameron Savarino and Joshua Newman were defensive standouts.
PALO ALTO 7B 25, PATTERSON 7B 24, OT:Nehemiah Brown scored nine points and sealed the victory with a clutch free throw as the Patriots held off Patterson in overtime in the second round of the KISD B-team tournament.
