Cullen Mayhew led Gatesville (9-12-2, 2-3 8-3A) at the plate, batting 4 for 5 with two doubles and four RBIs, while Jeff Speer and Wyatt Crum were each 3 for 5 with two doubles and two RBIs apiece as the Hornets racked up 15 hits to Lampasas’ six.

The Badgers fall to 7-12-1 and remain winless (0-5) in district.
