At Lometa, the Hornets followed up a 22-point second quarter by scoring 21 points in the entire second half, and the lack of offense late caused Lometa to lose its third consecutive game.

Lometa seniors Noe Salinas and Jose Acevedo made four 3-pointers each en route to 16 and 12 points, respectively. Poor shot selection in the second half doomed the Hornets, who fell to 5-5 on the season heading into Friday’s game at Cherokee.
