Devin Drew and Micheal Williams averaged 211 and 205, respectively, to lead the Harker Heights Knights to a convincing 16-1 victory over the Killeen Kangaroos on Dec. 10 at Killeen Bowlerama.
Gaylan Brown earned the only point for Killeen (0-2) as the Knights (1-1) took a 6-1 lead before sweeping the team games. The Knights evened their district record at 1-1 while Killeen fell to 0-2.
Sierra Ciesiolka and Maya Dixon-Dates both averaged more than 180 to help the Lady Knights remain unbeaten and tied with Copperas Cove at 2-0.
Like the boys, the Lady Knights led 6-1 after match play and swept the team games.
The Lady Roos’ Amanda Morgan averaged 193 to lead all scorers and earn the lone point for Killeen (1-1).
Dawgs roar past Shoemaker
Jacob Reed averaged 238 and Robert Bigford 203 to help the Copperas Cove Bulldawgs (2-0) roll past the Shoemaker Grey Wolves 16-1 on Dec. 9 at Hallmark Lanes.
Austin Ratcliff earned the lone point for the Grey Wolves (1-1).
The Dawgs averaged 206 to sweep the four team games.
Stephani Brown stayed hot, averaging 205, and Dakota Stutz averaged 197 to lead the Lady Dawgs (2-0) to a 17-0 shutout over Shoemaker. The Lady Grey Wolves (0-2) were led by Kayla Henry.
Garza tops EHS on bye date
Jordan Garza topped the Ellison scoring with a 250 average while Samantha Kriner led the girls by averaging 182 on the teams’ bye date.
In the second match-play game, Garza opened with nine straight strikes before leaving a split on the first ball in the 10th frame to finish with 261.
The teams play a simulated match during the bye week in order to meet the minimum qualifications requirement for the postseason.
