At Bastrop, after having their three-game win streak snapped with a one-point loss to Austin High on Friday, the Lady Roos rebounded Saturday with back-to-back wins over Hutto and 2A-No. 3 Poth in the Bastrop tournament.

Johlicia Williams combined for 35 points and Jasmine Goodwine totaled 27 as the Lady Roos beat Hutto 57-38 and Poth 48-39.

Killeen (13-7) hosts Belton in a District 8-5A game Friday, looking for its sixth win in seven games.

Williams scored 19 and Goodwine 17 against Hutto, which fell behind 19-6 at the end of the first quarter and was unable to recover. Esha Atkins added 10 for the Lady Roos.

Williams scored 16 and Atkins 14 in the win over Poth.
