At Lago Vista, coming off their best season on record, the Lady Knights (0-1) knew they’d be in for some growing pains returning only two lettermen. That was certainly evident as seven blocks from senior Kathleen Janda, one of the two returners, and 11 digs from Roxy Sonni were the lone bright spots in a rough season-opening sweep.

“Tonight was good, (but it’s the) season opener,” Lady Knights head coach Chris Wiley said. “We did some good things and we also saw some points (where) we need to improve on, but that’s what this part of the season is about — getting better.”
