SALADO — Battling through a scoreless tie in the first 29 ½ minutes of play Friday, it looked like Salado and Cameron Yoe would be in for a fierce semifinal battle. That is until Tristan Bragg put his head into it — literally.

Bragg nailed a header on an assist from Patrick Murray in the closing seconds of the first half for a 1-0 halftime lead and then added another 10 minutes into the second half as Bragg and Daniel Lemus piled on with two goals apiece to send Salado to a 5-1 drubbing of the Yoemen. The victory secures the Eagles a spot in the Eagle Classic championship game against Brownwood at 3:30 p.m. today.

Lemus scored twice on assists from junior Chase Crenwelge, the first coming with 18:12 left and the second nine minutes later. Eric McGregor gave Salado a 5-0 advantage with 4 ½ minutes left on a third Crenwelge assist.
