At Florence, all nine Lady Eagles batters batted before the game’s first out was ever recorded as Salado opened up with a nine-run first inning while two pitchers combined for a three-hit shutout.

Mallory Schattle led the way for No. 21 Salado (24-5-1, 7-2 22-2A) at the plate, batting 3 for 3 with three RBIs, all coming in the first inning. Schattle bookended the nine-run first with a two-run double and capped it with an RBI single. Morgan Hill (2 for 4) added an RBI-single and Kristen Oakes (3 for 4, 3 RBIs) had a two-RBI knock in the first. Reagan Best was also 3 for 4 with two runs scored.
