MARLIN — Freshman Sarah Kelarek scored 17 points and the Salado Lady Eagles won their fifth straight game, 69-29 over Marlin on Monday, after starting the season with two losses.

Salado was in control early, outscoring the Lady Bulldogs 22-3 in the first quarter. Salado stretched the lead to 55-19 with a 20-3 third quarter.

Ashley Adams (10 points, eight rebounds) and Taryn Kornegay (14 points) also scored in double figures for the Lady Eagles, who are off until hosting their own tournament beginning Dec. 5.
