PFLUGERVILLE — Cory Scott and Rashard Odomes combined to score 57 points as the Bulldawgs opened their season with a 83-70 convincing win over the Hawks on the road Tuesday.

Scott hit three 3-pointers and scored a game-high 31 points, Odomes scored 26 and Deion Robinson added 10 to lead Copperas Cove (1-0), which stretched an 11-point halftime lead to 15, 61-46, in the third quarter.  

The Bulldawgs open the McDonald’s Texas Invitational basketball tournament against Deer Park on Thursday at 1:30 p.m.
