Coming off a season-opening win Tuesday night, Killeen dropped its first two games of the Austin ISD Invitational tournament before salvaging a win to close out the first day of the tournament.

The Shoemaker Lady Grey Wolves also lost their first two, but picked up their first win of the year before heading home.

Killeen (2-2) lost to Austin Bowie 25-13, 25-12 and San Antonio Lee 25-22, 25-7, but beat Austin Reagan 25-19, 25-22 in its last match.

Shoemaker (1-3) rallied to beat Austin Travis 19-25, 25-22, 25-21 in its third game of the day. The Lady Grey Wolves lost to Austin High (25-10, 25-14) and Fredericksburg (25-16, 25-12) to open the tournament.

Shoemaker plays Austin Eastside Memorial at 10 a.m., Austin LBJ at noon and Kyle Lehman at 2 p.m.
