AUSTIN — Shoemaker’s boys and girls track teams made a clean sweep at the Connally Cougar Relays, winning all four divisions Saturday.  

The varsity Grey Wolves scored 152 points, with all three relay teams placing in the top two, including the winning sprint relay team of Lege Justice, Deontre Haynes, Taron Lloyd and Johnny Jefferson.

The 800-meter relay team of Haynes, Lloyd, Dwayne Williams and Jefferson also placed first.

The mile relay team of Williams, Desmond Jefferson, Quasan Hill and Devon Brewton placed second

Hill set a high jump record with a winning leap of 6 feet, 9 inches. He also won the 400 and placed second in the long jump, behind Lloyd.

Tyron Newson took first in the shot put and second in the discus. Devon Brewton won the triple jump

On the girls side, Aloysia Young, Maya Little, Tyriete Dixon, Nya Cummings and Jasmine Rhodes won the sprint relay and the 800 relay.

Young led the way in the jumps, winning the long jump and taking second in the triple jump.

Cion Hicks won the shot put and discus.

Also placing in the top three for the Lady Wolves were Dixon (second, 100; third, high jump),Rhodes (second, high jump), Yaritza Rivera (sec ond, discus) andCummings (third, 200).
