At Little River, Samantha Vaughn scored on a fielder’s choice in the fourth inning to put the Lady Buffaloes up 1-0, but they could not hold onto the lead. Mackenzie Futrell, who pitched six innings, gave up eight hits and three earned runs in the loss, gave up two in the bottom of the inning and Florence (4-5, 0-1 22-2A) could not rally.

Courtney Kulp was 2-for-3 for the Lady Buffaloes.

Both teams played hard it's just ashame that two of the "earned runs" came out of a fourth strike
