Salado freshman Jaci McGregor won her fourth straight race Thursday as the Lady Eagles hosted their own meet at Tenroc Ranch.
McGregor finished in 12 minutes, 37 seconds on the Tenroc course notorious for its challenging terrain and hills.

Others running for the Lady Eagles were Cat Langlitz (13th, 14:03), Samantha Vargas (21st, 14:23), Taylor Rich (30th, 14:49), Kimberly Kendall (45th, 15:43) and Natalie McBryde (47th, 15:51).
The Salado boys placed second, led by Hunter Haas’ runner-up finish. Also running for Salado were Logan Rickey (14th), Horacio Huerta (15th), Trey Graham (22nd), Seth Neal (27th) and Ryan Trenholm (39th).
Both teams return to action Sept. 30 in Cameron.
Ellison boys win Waco Cross Country Invitational
The Ellison boys cross country team placed four runners in the top six to win the Waco Cross Country Invitational on Thursday.
Jeremiah Tomlin led the Eagles with a runner-up finish of 17 minutes, 11.56 seconds. Right behind him was teammate Reginald Evelyn (17:27.78) in third. Ikel Herandez was fifth, and Isayah Williams was sixth.
Ellison finished with 27 points in the five-team meet, 16 ahead of runner-up Temple.
Copperas Cove was fifth, led by a 26th-place finish by Alvarado Francisco.
The Ellison girls placed second in the meet with 55 points, 15 behind champion Temple.
Alina Simon led the Lady Eagles with a fourth-place finish of 22:29.69. Sadie Giles (10th), Naomi Whitefield (11th), Amiyah Willis (14th) and Claryssa Chamberlain (16th) also ran for Ellison.
Copperas Cove finished third with 79 points. The Lady Dawgs had two runners in the top five with Honea Madisen (third, 21:38.43) and Mariyah Reynolds (fifth, 23:57.02).
15th-ranked Liberty Hill volleyballers sweep Salado
The 15th-ranked Liberty Hill volleyball traveled to Salado on Friday and swept the Lady Eagles 25-16, 25-19, 25-18.
Landry Rogers led Salado (18-10, 3-2 19-4A) with 16 kills and four aces. Katie Robinson added seven kills. Reagan Morreale had 13 assists and three kills. Brettney Fuller had 12 assists and three aces.
Belton beats Heights in 8-6A volleyball
Kelsey Surovik and Hanna Griffin each had 10 kills as the Belton volleyball team defeated Harker Heights 25-20, 21-25, 25-19, 26-24 on Friday in Harker Heights.
With the win, the Lady Tigers evened their District 8-6A record at 2-2. The Lady Knights fell to 1-3.
Griffin also had four blocks. Jamie Janczak had 20 assists and seven kills. Kamryn Madden contributed seven kills, seven blocks and six digs. Emily Holder finished with 15 assists and eight digs.
Jendaya Robertson led Heights with 16 kills. Aliyah Lockett added 14. Haley Brown had five blocks. Sheila Borders recorded 26 assists, and Selicia Fields had four aces.
