Michael Goudeau pitched a two-hit shutout and the Copperas Cove baseball team pounded Austin Travis 18-0 on Saturday in their final game at the Central Texas Invitational at Cedar Creek.

The Bulldawgs remain unbeaten on the season at 14-0-2.

Goudeau fanned six hitters.

Colby Jost was 3-for-3 as Cove rapped out 12 hits, including a homer by Justin Velesky.

The Bulldawgs open District 8-6A play Tuesday at Waco Midway.

NO. 14 BELTON SPLITS SOFTBALL TWIN BILL: Miranda Davila's walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh lifted the 14th-ranked Lady Tigers to a 4-3 win over Bryan in the second game of a doubleheader at Dripping Springs.

Harley Staton scored the winning run.

Belton (16-5-1) had just given up a tying three-run homer in the top of the inning.

In the first game, the Lady Tigers were held to two hits and lost 4-0 against 5A's 17th-ranked Dripping Springs.

Belton resumes District 8-6A play Monday night at Waco Midway.
