LeDea Harris led Belton with five kills Saturday and the Lady Tigers defeated Pflugerville 25-23, 25-23 to win the consolation title in the Bronze bracket of the Round Rock Westwood Showcase volleyball tournament.
Kelsey Surovik had three kills and a block. Jamie Janczak and Madison Ward each had 11 digs. Emily Holder led Belton with nine assists.
Belton began the day with a 26-24, 16-25, 25-19 loss to Temple. Harris tallied eight kills and seven digs. Kamryn Madden added five kills and two blocks. Kale Kincannon had nine assists.
The Lady Tigers bounced back with a 19-25, 25-11, 25-13 win over Del Valle. Surovik led the way with eight kills and six blocks. Elicia Jackson added seven kills and two blocks. Hanna Griffin had five kills. Holder recorded 15 assists and 11 digs.
Cove volleyball team finishes third in Austin Bowie tourney
Aidan Chace had a team-high nine kills and 18 assists to help lead the Copperas Cove volleyball team to a 25-23, 24-26, 25-20 win over San Antonio Marshall on Saturday in the third-place match at the Austin Bowie tournament.
Jada Close served two aces. Kristen Wasiak had 23 digs.
The Lady Dawgs (10-1) also defeated Lamar (25-10, 25-18) and lost to La Vernia (25-21, 25-18).
Chace had eight kills against Lamar. Kamryn Ash led with 15 assists, and Wasiak tallied 15 digs.
Talia Kinslow led Cove with eight kills against La Vernia. Ash and Chace each had 12 assists, and Wasiak had 11 digs.
The Lady Dawgs host Lorena on Tuesday night at 6:30.
