Copperas Cove High School graduate Dakota Stutz collected $1,300 in scholarship funds after winning the Texas USBC Youth Masters & Queens Tournament on Saturday in College Station.

After posting one of the top eight qualifying scores earlier this summer, Stutz outlasted the other seven finalists in Saturday’s eight-game match-play semifinals and the stair-step finals.

Stutz was the 2016 girls state high school runner-up in her senior season at Cove.
