The Copperas Cove Bulldawgs opened training camp Monday at the Copperas Cove High School athletic annex with the first of four days in shorts, shoes and helmets.
Head coach Jack Welch was happy with the way things went.
“Practice was excellent,” he said. “I was very pleased with the way the kids came back in great shape. It was the best condition I’ve seen in a long time. But, the most important thing was the great attitude they had. We’ve definitely gotten off to a good start.”
The Dawgs will have their first day of workouts in pads on Friday, followed Saturday by the Soap, Towel and Shampoo Scrimmage at Bulldawg Stadium.
