The Ellison boys bowling team rallied late to edge the Shoemaker Grey Wolves 9-8 on Monday at Hallmark Lanes.
Cody Layne led the Eagles to a 5-2 lead after match play, but Shoemaker took the first two team games to take a 6-5 lead. However, the Eagles rallied to win the final two games for the final margin.
With the win, Ellison raised its district record to 7-1 while Shoemaker, which was led by TyQuan Abson and Peter Palomo, dropped to 5-2.
The Lady Eagles made it a sweep with a 16-1 victory over the Lady Grey Wolves. Caitlin Schirripa led Ellison (6-2) while Marian Arroyo-Ortiz led Shoemaker (5-2).
Killeen boys roll past Cove: Hunter Wood led the Killeen boys to a 13-4 victory over the Copperas Cove Bulldawgs.
Killeen took a 5-2 lead after match play and took three of four team games for the final score.
Gavin Stutz led Cove (2-6) in scoring. Killeen raised its record to 2-5.
The Lady Roos won by walkover.
