Emily Gray tossed a one-hitter and the 12th-ranked Florence softball team used an eight-run second inning to beat Johnson City 10-0 in six innings Tuesday in Johnson City.

Gray (4-2) allowed a hit and walk and struck out everyone else — 18 punch-outs in all.

Hollie Ellis was 3 for 4 with a three-run homer for Florence (6-5-1, 3-0 25-3A).

Bri Ramirez was 2 for 3 with a double and three RBIs. Gray was 2 for 3 with a double and RBI.

LAMPASAS 12, LLANO 4: At Llano, Kyndal Moyer and Blakeli Brookreson each had three hits, Sloane Johnson drove in three runs and the Lady Badgers rolled to a road victory in District 19-4A.

Megan Sittner and Kamri Corbin each had two hits and drove in two runs. Kloe Corbin also drove in a pair of runs. Collyn Schuricht drove in two runs at the plate and struck out seven in the circle.

The Lady Badgers (2-1 19-4A) return to action Tuesday against Leander Glenn.

BOYS SOCCER

HARKER HEIGHTS 2, SALADO 0: Seth Bodolus and George Santos scored in the second half and the Knights beat the District 25-4A champion Eagles in a playoff warmup game in Salado.

Both players assisted on each other’s goals.

Josh Donovan earned the shutout in goal for the Knights (13-4-2).

Height will play Liberty Hill on Monday in another warmup game at Leo Buckley Stadium at 7 p.m.

Salado put one in the net at the end, but the ball was ruled to have crossed the goal line after time expired.

Trey Sheppard made nine saves for the Eagles (20-2).

Salado will play Gatesville in a warmup game Monday.

GIRLS SOCCER

SALADO 7, GEORGETOWN GATEWAY 2: At Salado, Madison Spradlin and Annie Ewton each scored twice and the Lady Eagles finished the regular season with a share of the District 25-4A championship.

Reagan Morreale, Hannah Reavis and Rebecca Gonzales also scored for Salado (15-4-1, 11-1 25-4A).

The Lady Eagles didn't score until the 33rd minute and trailed 2-0 before Spradlin put Salado on the board. But they finished the first half with a 5-2 lead.

Salado will play Gatesville in a warmup game Monday.
