Adrian Rivera scored 24 points and the 24th-ranked Lometa Hornets won their 11th straight game to start the season, beating Priddy 65-56 on Tuesday in Priddy.
Lometa had its hands full with the Pirates’ full-court pressure early but dominated inside with posts Rivera, Kyle Molter (14 points) and, especially, sixth man Connell Barnett (10).
“We definitely wouldn’t have won the game if it wasn’t for him,” head coach Aaron Nuckles said.
For the first time all season, Ivan Jasso was not the Hornets’ leading scorer. He finished with eight points.
Priddy fell to 8-3.
