SALADO — The Salado volleyball has been on the losing end of several five-setters at home this season. Tuesday night, the Class 4A Lady Eagles made sure they didn’t have to go that far when they escaped with a four-set victory against 3A Jarrell, 25-19, 22-25, 25-17, 31-29.

Jarrell (14-9) nearly forced a deciding fifth set during a marathon fourth, but Salado (14-8) finished the match when the Lady Cougars tallied a hitting error following a kill from middle blocker Brianna Washington.
