At Temple, despite the loss, head coach Tim McDonald said the Tem-Cats should feelgood about their overall performance.

“My assistant coach looked at me, the crowd  was into it they were really excited, and she said it was a good loss and we should take that and build on it. It gives me a headache to even say it, but it was a good loss,” he said.

The Tem-Cats won’t have much time to dwell on the loss as they go right back into the fray today in Gatesville.

McDonald said one positive of the game was the effort his team showed.

That’s especially true of Rashai Jackson, who he thought had a breakout match.

“She responded really well and played her heart out.”
