In a battle of two top 10 Class 3A teams, No. 5 Groesbeck displayed its dominance, downing No. 9 Gatesville in straight sets, 27-25, 25-18, 25-15, on Tuesday in Gatesville.

The loss is the second in a row for the Lady Hornets, who won four consecutive matches before losing to Belton in the championship round of their home tournament Saturday. Gatesville (9-8) will face another state-ranked opponent Friday, when 3A No. 8 Longview Spring Hill comes to town.
