The city of Killeen will host the following events and activities this holiday season:

Through Saturday: Registration open for the Outdoor Decorating Contest and Christmas Parade at www.killeentexas.gov/volunteer.

Through Dec. 9: Volunteers may register for the Feast of Sharing at www.killeentexas.gov/volunteer.

Through Dec. 16: Letters to Santa accepted at the Killeen Community Center and the Family Recreation Center.

Saturday: Wreath-laying ceremony at 10 a.m. at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.

Dec. 2-14: Voting open for Outdoor Decorating Contest at www.killeentexas.gov/volunteer.

Dec. 6: Holiday Under the Stars event from 6 to 9 p.m. at Killeen Community Center.

Dec. 7: Breakfast in Toyland with Santa from 8 to 11 a.m. at Killeen Community Center; Jingle Bell Dash at 8 a.m. at Killeen Community Center.

Dec. 14: Merry Market Day starting at 2 p.m. at Green Avenue Farmers Market; 51st annual Christmas Parade starting at 4:30 p.m. in downtown.

Dec. 17: Feast of Sharing from 4 to 8 p.m. at Killeen Civic and Conference Center.

Jan. 4: Christmas Tree Recycling from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Killeen Special Events Center.

Jan. 5: Wreath retrieval at 2 p.m. at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.
