With full bellies and refrigerators stuffed with leftovers, it’s time to say goodbye to Thanksgiving and hello to Christmas.

Many families have already begun that transition by picking out a Christmas tree.

Whether it’s a live fir or the predecorated, store-bought variety, many families spent the weekend looking for a perfect tree to take home while the selection was good.

At Silo Christmas Tree Farm in Temple, dozens of families visited Saturday in search of a perfect tree.

Some sought out a small tree to fit their bay windows, while others looked for towering 9-footers for their great rooms.

As adults searched for trees, children focused on the large pile of hay to play in and a pair of tetherball games.

With Christmas just 30 days away, it’s not too soon to find the perfect tree.
