BELTON — The Bell County Expo Center continues to bring big-name concerts to Central Texas.

On March 19, Shinedown, 3 Days Grace and special guest P.O.D. will perform at the center.

Shinedown lead singer Brent Smith said the band played Belton years ago, and is looking forward to coming back.

“That’s kind of the point, to be honest with you, about setting up the schedule for this tour and market,” Smith said. “We wanted to play some markets we hadn’t been back to in a while. It’s important to go to some outskirts from bigger cities.”

Both Shinedown and 3 Days Grace are multi-platinum selling rock bands. Shinedown’s recent album, “Amaryllis,” entered the Billboard 200 at No. 4, and 3 Days Grace recently finished a tour of a dozen sold-out “intimate venue shows” in celebration of their latest album, “Transit of Venus.”

The March concert will also include P.O.D., who will be supporting its album, “Murdered Love,” to be released this summer.

“If you look at the big picture of it all, between P.O.D., 3 Days Grace and us, you’re looking at 38 No. 1 songs,” Smith said. “That’s a pretty hardcore night of music.”

Of the Shinedown performance in particular, Smith said their shows are about rising up and pushing forward so concert-goers won’t regret attending.

“We worked really hard to make sure this tour is set up in an artistic way,” he said. “If you’ve had a rough week or a rough day, all that negativity will go out the window. I guarantee you, you will be able to accomplish anything you set your mind to.”

Tickets for the concert are available at the Bell County Expo Center box office, select H-E-Bs, Fort Hood ITR, by phone at (512) 477-6060 or online at
