The city of Harker Heights, Wounded Warrior Project and VACAT are hosting the inaugural Combat Veteran Softball Benefit Tournament March 16-17 at the Harker Heights City Softball Complex. Proceeds go to Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation New Dawn Welcome Home Event and the Wounded Warrior Project. Teams must register by Sunday. The Sociedad Cultural Hispanoamericana will celebrate its 37th anniversary with a formal banquet from 6 to 10:45 p.m. March 16 at Fort Hood’s Club Hood.
