The Texas Association of Future Educators chapters at Harker Heights High School and the KISD Career Center are working to sell 100 tickets to bring the independent movie “Girls Rising” to the Killeen Cinema 14. The movie is a documentary that shows the plight of girls around the world who are denied the right to education. Make plans to attend the annual Knight of Jazz on April 19 in the Harker Heights High School cafeteria. The evening begins at 6 p.m. with a dance lesson followed by dinner at 7 p.m. and performances by the Harker Heights High School Jazz Ensemble, the HHHS Jazz Orchestra, the Shoemaker High School Jazz Ensemble and the Swingtime Big Band.
