Festivals, events

“Abraham Lincoln: Self-Made in America” is on display through March 9 at the Bell County Museum, 201 N. Main St., Belton.

An opening reception featuring people in period costumes and recipes from the 19th century will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Jan. 12.

On Feb. 9, attend a “birthday bash” with Lincoln-related activities and a giant cake. Admission and activities are free.

Fundraisers

KNCT, the local public TV and radio station, will present an evening of wine tasting during the fifth annual KNCT Wine Classic on Jan. 19 at the Killeen Civic and Conference Center. The event will feature a Wine 101 class, food and a silent auction. The evening starts at 5 p.m. with the Wine 101 class led by Steve Hanik. Tickets for the class are $100 and include early entry into the wine-tasting event. Seating is limited. The wine tasting will be from 7 to 10 p.m. Tickets for the tasting only are $60.
