Holiday Happenings

“Christmas Is ON The Air,” at the Salado Silver Spur Theater, 108 Royal St., through Saturday. This original comedy-variety show, written by The Spuradical Players, continues the evolving, annual holiday saga of WSPR Radio’s desperate efforts to solve the mystery surrounding the strange and nefarious new owners of the station. Curtain is at 7:30 p.m. today and Saturday, with a 2 p.m. Saturday matinee. Admission prices are $18 for adults; $15 for senior citizens, military personnel and students with ID; and $10 for children age 12 and younger for evening shows. Matinee tickets are $10 for all ages. Don’t miss Nature in Lights at the Belton Lake Outdoor Recreation Area. From 5:30 to 11 p.m. through Jan. 6, cars can explore the winter wonderland at the lake and enjoy a visit to Santa’s Village. Admission is $5 for cars, minivans and pickup trucks, $15 for limos, RVs and 15-passenger vans, $25 for 24-passenger vans and $40 for 47-passenger vans or large buses. Fundraisers

KNCT, the local public TV and radio station, will present an evening of wine tasting during the fifth annual KNCT Wine Classic on Jan. 19 at the Killeen Civic and Conference Center. The evening starts at 5 p.m. with a Wine 101 class led by Steve Hanik, certified sommelier. Tickets for the class are $100 and include early entry into the wine-tasting event. Seating for the class is limited.
