After nine episodes and countless wardrobe changes, makeup applications and poses, Belton resident Jaclyn Poole was eliminated from cycle 16 of the CW network's "America's Next Top Model" on Wednesday.

The show was filmed in Los Angeles at the end of last summer and early fall.

Poole, who could not publicly reveal how far she'd gotten in the competition until her elimination episode aired, has been working at Razoo's in Harker Heights.

Community members have been supportive throughout the season, Poole said Thursday, telling her she's their "Top Model," no matter the show's outcome.

In the next few weeks, however, she'll head to New York and Los Angeles to give her professional modeling career a go.

"I'll take my 'Top Model' portfolio and hit every agency," she said. "I'll show them what I've got and who I am and my personality."

From judges' comments throughout the season, including those from show host Tyra Banks, Poole's bubbly personality is what helped her become one of the last six women standing, of 14 total.

She became a "house" and fan favorite due to her girlish smile and Texas charm.

In front of the camera, however, Poole assumed a different persona, surprising the judges with her versatility.

The April 6 episode and photo shoot were Poole's favorite, she said, as she got to visit Universal Studios to shoot a scary but high fashion "Psycho" photo.

Her allure inside the Bates Motel - despite her smeared makeup - earned her a best photo nod for the week.

Poole faltered, however, during Wednesday's trash dump photo shoot, during which photographer and judge Nigel Barker said she lacked some facial control.

Undaunted by the criticism, Poole is ready to start her modeling career out in the open, she said.

"I'm very excited about my future."

The remaining five contestants will head to Morocco in next week's episode.

The show airs Wednesdays at 7 p.m.
