The vintage B-17 aircraft Texas Raiders is just one of 11 air-worthy Flying Fortress WWII bombers left in the world today, and only nine remain flying in the U.S. It will fly at the Central Texas Air Show on Saturday and Sunday at Draughon-Miller Central Texas Regional Airport, 7720 Airport Road in Temple.

Texas Raiders will offer free walk-through tours to military personnel and their families, as well as rides for tax-deductible donations.

Ticket prices for the entire weekend range from $5 to $50, with children age 6 and younger admitted free.

Festivals, events

The 14th annual Crawfish Boil Fish Fry and silent auction is from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Killeen Special Events Center. The event will feature crawfish, catfish and chicken. Fundraisers

Taekwondo students from Hamm's Martial Arts Institute in Killeen will be holding a Break-A-Thon at the Killeen Mall from 5 to 7 p.m. May 12. Students will break 1,000 boards to benefit the American Diabetes Association. Spectators making a donation will have the opportunity to break a board.
