When Dr. Rajesh Reddy and Dr. Brady Luttrell started running a family practice together at Metroplex Heath System, the two physicians realized they have the same vision: to provide services patients can be excited about.

Soon, they began training on aesthetic procedures and received state accreditation to use lasers and administer Botox and dermal fillers.

“It’s a service that people are actually looking for and are happy to get whereas as a lot of your day-to-day, most people don’t like going to the doctor,” said Luttrell, who joined the hospital in January 2013. “It gives us a little bit of a different feel with patients who are happy to be there and happy when they leave.”

The duo officially opened MedSpa to the public during an open house and ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday at its office, Suite 203 of the Ledger and Smith Building at 2207 S. Clear Creek Road in Killeen.

MedSpa offers a range of anti-aging procedures including Botox and dermal fillers, acne and scaring treatments, stretch mark reduction, permanent hair reduction, skin resurfacing, age spot removal and vein treatment.

New patients will receive a skin analysis and consultations on laser use.

Pharmaceutical-grade skin care products, which only can be purchased in physicians offices, also will be available.

Reddy, who joined Metroplex in November 2012, said they provided aesthetic services to Metroplex employees before opening the MedSpa to the public.

“We noticed in the community there are some other day spas and medspas; however, as far as we can tell, none of the other facilities have a physician directly performing the procedures,” he said.

“We wanted a source for members of the community to come and have procedures performed directly by physicians and only by physicians.”
