Metroplex Health System volunteers are accepting applications for $6,500 in scholarships for students pursuing four- and two-year degrees in human health services or health care certifications.

Scholarships range from $1,000 to $1,500 and eligibility is based on academic achievement, community involvement and career focus.

High school seniors and college undergraduates are encouraged to apply by the March 14 deadline. A panel of judges will interview finalists and a list of recipients will be announced in April.

Applications are available at the information desk in the Killeen Metroplex Hospital lobby or at www.mplex.org.

For more information, call the hospital’s volunteer service coordinator Nance Travis at (254) 519-8147 or Clara Maher at (254) 519-4640.
