TEMPLE — Marinan Williams was selected as interim president and chief executive officer for the Scott & White Health Plan and Insurance Co.
Williams is the current chief operating officer for the health plan, and she will continue to fulfill her COO responsibilities while taking on her newly expanded role, according to a Scott & White news release.
Williams will begin as president and CEO on March 31, as current Scott & White Health Plan CEO Allan Einboden recently announced his retirement plans.The Scott & White Health Plan serves 220,000 members across the Central Texas region.
In October, the Scott & White Health Plan was ranked as the top Medicare plan in Texas for the second consecutive year by the National Committee for Quality Assurance.
In February, Einboden announced his retirement would be effective April 1. Einboden joined Scott & White Health Plan in 2000, serving as the chief executive for the last 10 years.
Williams has served as the COO of Scott & White Health Plan since 2007.
During that time, she has provided strategic direction for governmental programs, pharmacy programs, and the establishment of best-in-class operations, as validated by SWHP’s top ranking among Texas commercial and Medicare health plans.
