HARKER HEIGHTS -- Organic gardeners Kathe Kitchens and Kimberly Berg will teach a free Basics of Organic Gardening class from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Harker Heights Activities Center, 400 Indian Trail. Part of the Gardeners Education Series, the event is open to the public.

Kitchens and Berg will show the benefits of organic gardening versus regular gardening, and will cover soil health, composting, pest management, watering, and plant selection and care.
